Star 95.9 used to be a childhood favorite radio station, and it was a perk growing up directly beside the tower and station. Although I feel as though in the last 10 years the station maybe went through ownership or management changing and it changed more than the people. The whole feel of the radio station isn't what it used to be and it just isn't something we (as a family) can catch on with. It does still play the latest music and advertisers are mostly local so I'm sure it brings great community benefit, which explains the rating.
The staff at Star 95 are awesome. Each and everyone if them are delightful to work with. I've worked with them for years doing Coats for Kids and in my opinion you can't find better people. Family owned local radio station. They do so much for the community, and fun contests on the air. I've advertised with them for years and they have a much broader reach verses the news paper. Not to mention they play today's top music. Would rate 10 stars if possible.
